Keeping Oakland Quaint
Commissioner
Sal Ramos
We ran a great race for Mayor of Oakland however, on March 19th, the voters have decided to go another route.
Congratulations Shane Taylor for your win.
I want to thank you Shane for having the same love for Oakland that all of us do.
Also, to his supporters who care greatly about Oakland.

In this moment, we must remember; we are ONE Oakland. One community.
Truly I cannot list everyone who helped because there are so many, thank you all for your help and believing in me.

Special thanks to our core team, to our friends and new friends we made through this journey.
However, I must give a special heartfelt thank you to my family. They endured a lot of my time being taken away from them. My 4 kids and my amazing and incredibly Godly wife, who is always there for me and our kids, Marivel. I love you.

Finally, I want to thank
Mayor Kathy Stark
Vice-Mayor Mike Saterfield
CMSR Joseph McMullen
CMSR Rick Polland
for there decades of true service to our town. I have learned so much for them and recognize that without them, Oakland would not be what it is today.

No matter how much it may hurt that we were not successful in this, I am confident God has a plan in my life, in my family's life, and in all of our lives. We will move forward with our love for Oakland and our community, we will look to Him for guidance.

Even in our perceived losses, we give praise and thanks to the Lord.

“Love God”
“Love People”
“Love Oakland”

1 Chronicles 29:11-12
“Yours is the mighty power and glory and victory and majesty. Everything in the heavens and earth is yours, O Lord, and this is your kingdom. We adore you as being in control of everything. Riches and honor come from you alone, and you are the ruler of all mankind; your hand controls power and might, and it is at your discretion that men are made great and given strength.”
