Sal Ramos
Keeping Oakland Quaint
Sal Ramos has been an active member of the West Orange community for over 25 years. He first served on the town’s Charter Committee and in 2015 he was elected as a Commissioner for the Town of Oakland. He is a board member of MetroPlan Orlando’s Municipal Advisory Committee and Honorary Board Member of Central Florida Council (CFC) Boys Scouts of America and is a recent recipient of the West Orange Golden Eagle Award and Best Small Business award at the Golden Orange Awards.
Commissioner Ramos started the family-owned business, Empire Finish Systems, along with his two partners, and siblings, Frank Ramos and Iliana R. Jones in 1995. Along with being a business owner and entrepreneur, Commissioner Ramos has been involved with many ministries and non-profit organizations such as Boy Scouts of America, BSA Troop 145, ORE Ethiopia and Love made Visible Ministries through Mosaic, Seeds of Hope Brazil, Home at Last (War Veterans Homes) in Oakland, Habitat Blitz Orlando, West Orange Habitat For Humanity including homes in Oakland and Winter Garden, and Love Out Loud with Just For HIM Ministries.

He has been a Deacon at Mosaic Church since 2007 and is passionate about Jesus Christ, his family, his business, the Town of Oakland, and serving others. He has been married to his wife Marivel for the past 24 years and they have four children.
